The Black Hills Spruce is a slower growing variety that is used ornamentally and provides food and lodging for wildlife. The A+2's average 6 inches and range from 4 to 8 inches in length.
The Black Hills Spruce is a species of White Spruce that gets its name from the Black Hills of South Dakota. This variety is found throughout the entire northern part of the United States, including Alaska, as well as in Canada. It is also found in central and southern United States to a lesser degree. Although they can grow quite large, they do take decades to reach their full stature.
