The Black Spruce grow very well in damp swampy areas. They are very cold tolerant and do well in poorly drained areas. The A+2's average 12 inches and range from 9 to 15 inches in length.
The Black Spruce prefers full sun but can tolerate shade and nutrient poor soil. They are very cold hardy and can live up to 200 years and grow to 30 to 40 feet in height. Black spruce needles are short and soft with a dull blue green appearance.
