The Red Pine are valuable for landscaping, timber and paper pulp. They typically grow tall and straight, thriving well in a variety of conditions, including sunny, windy sites. The A+2's average 8 inches and range from 6 to 12 inches in length.
The Red (Norway) Pine have long needle-like leaves. The trees can grow to 115 ft or taller, and live for up to 500 years. The trunks have a characteristic grey-brown bark at the base of the tree that becomes thin, flaky and bright orange-red in the crown area. The trees tend to be self pruning which may leave long areas of branchless trunk under the canopy.
