The Tamarack is a fast growing species. It grows naturally on wet sites and is very cold tolerant, although very intolerant to shade. The A+2's average 13 inches and range from 11 to 16 inches in length.
The Tamarack is a deciduous conifer whose needle-like leaves change to yellow and then shed in the fall. This tree does well in swampy areas and tends to have shallow roots.
