Product Overview
The Black Walnut tree is prized for its beauty, fruit and wood. The tree does well on fertile soils and will begin to produce fruit after about 10 years, although peak production and taste occurs after maturity at about 30 years. The 2-0 Seedlings average 30 inches and range from 24 to 36 in length.
The Black Walnut reaches saw log maturity at about 50 years of age, with greatest timber value at about 80 years. The lumber has many uses, including doors, furniture, cabinets and wall panels.
