Product Overview
The Bur Oak enjoys a slow to moderate growth rate. It will reach between 90 to 170 feet tall with rich soil. Bur Oaks tolerate adverse conditions such as urban pollution, compacted soil and poor drainage. The 2-0 Seedlings average 16 inches and range from 12 to 20 inches in length.
The Bur Oak will tolerate drought when well established. The name comes from the thorny covering of its fruit or acorns. The Bur Oak acorns are the largest of any North American Oak.
