Containerized trees are a great value at $100 for a container of 198 trees (Guaranteed 90% full holes). They are shipped in the styroblock containers which allow for greater planting flexibility. They can be held in the styroblock containers for several weeks prior to planting with proper watering. Individually wrapped they make a great seedling for promotional events and weddings. The Northern White Cedar "Affinity" is a fast growing, compact, upright tree that shows good vigor. It grows naturally on wet sites and poorly drained soils and yet will adapt to well drained sandy loam. The trees range from 5 to 8 inches in length.
Reaching heights of up to 78 feet, the Northern White Cedar Affinity is a multiple use plant intended for use in field and farmstead windbreaks and as a screen or border planting in recreation or urban development. It has been found to be a home to 84 wildlife species during the various stages of development. This improved White Cedar was released by the Natural Resources Conservation Service of the U.S.D.A.
